Louisiana's Promise Community Action Plans
- "We pledge to work on the following objectives over the coming months to begin to bring our community together around a common goal of reducing the number of drop-outs and increasing our on-time graduation rate."
Louisiana's Promise continues to assist school districts in mobilizing and engaging community leaders to solve the dropout problem. The following is a listing of districts that have been assisted and the dropout prevention goals their community leaders have developed:

- Improve the effectiveness of DEWS.

- Reduce the truancy rate for unexcused absences to zero.

- Build public awareness and support for dropout prevention efforts.
Early Detection & Community Support Systems
- Increase the effectiveness of Early Warning.
Truancy and Attendance
- Ensure that 100% of students attend school all the time.

- Increase collaboration with city and parish officials, community organizations, and local businesses to develop student support services.
- Keep the graduation rate issue at the forefront of all district planning and “top of mind” in the Baker Community.
