Timelines and Expectations
The study process is divided into short-term, mid-term, and long-term stages.
Short-term – Focus of the first 60 days on “where we are now” and consideration of initiatives related to the Legislative agenda.
Mid-term – Development of 3-6 recommendations from each workgroup that – if carried forward over the next couple of years through the leadership of the governor, legislature, Board of Elementary and Secondary Education, Louisiana DOE or local school board districts – could lead to meaningful school improvement in our state.
Long-term – A deeper understanding of the future possibilities – the important long-term vision and priorities. (top of page)
